The Christian Care Centers Advancement is overseen
by a Board of faithful men and women who desire to see this ministry
continue to grow and help the less fortunate senior members of
our community. The cost of this care, however, also continues to
grow dramatically. While Christian Care Centers provides over $3.0
million of charitable care to older adults each year, these funds
are being stretched as far as they can go as Medicaid reimbursements
decrease and insurance and other costs go up.
A contributing factor is the population of aging adults. According
to the U.S. Census Bureau, “The over-85 population is the
fastest growing segment of the U.S. population, and one out of
four people in that age group
lives in a nursing home.” Our faith remains strong that
Christian Care Centers will always have the resources to persevere
in our God-given responsibility to provide for our seniors.
For we are God's workmanship, created in
Jesus Christ to do good works, which God
prepared in advance for us to do.
