Bentley Assisted Living

For many years, Bentley Assisted Living has been blessed with a caring, loving staff and volunteers. Our volunteers work closely with our staff to help promote our Wellness Programs. The selfless concern for others is shown daily, by our volunteers. It is a true delight to witness the giving of their hearts and time, to our assisted living residents. Their devoted assistance to our activities staff is a gift that our assisted living staff appreciates and cherishes.

Volunteers give their time for many reasons. Many seniors give for a chance to meet others and have fun. Some give to improve quality of life for others. We have school students that volunteer to complete their school mentor programs. Whatever the reason, we are grateful and truly blessed for our volunteers.

  • Event Outings - join us to assist our residents, one on one
  • Brain Fitness Posit Science programs - assist with mouse and other computer issues to complete an eight week course
  • Life Bio program - any scrapbookers that would enjoy compiling a Life Bio for our residents
  • Campus Church Services - assist residents to Church Services on Sunday morning and evening and Wednesday evening
  • Bingo - help residents that cannot see well, but still love to play
  • 42 Domino Players - join us on Thursdays at 6pm
  • Chicken Foot Domino Players - join us on Saturdays at 2pm
  • Pet Therapy - registered animals to promote interaction with our residents
  • Choir Groups - always seeking more choir entertainment (the more music the better!)
  • Choir Singers - our Christian Care Choir, “Joyful Voices,” encourages community seniors to join

If you feel the need to share your time, please contact Cynthia Evans, Bentley's Director of Activities, at 972-686-3190 or cevans@cccinc.net

The Courtyard

Volunteers are an integral part of The Courtyard community. There are men, women, and students who regularly visit our community, providing comfort and companionship under the guidance of our Life Enrichment Staff.

The Courtyard’s volunteers include local church members, clergy, pet owners, musicians, and school children. At every holiday, we are overjoyed with the number of children and youth group members who visit and perform. Equally important are those volunteers who spend time visiting with residents, reading aloud, playing board games, and going on bus rides to the park, lake, and local restaurants.

  • Escorts on bus trips and outings
  • Arts and crafts assistants
  • Escorts to take residents on walks through our lovely gardens
  • Table games and puzzle assistants
  • Artists who want to inspire former painters in watercolor or other mediums
  • Musicians, singers and dancers
  • One on one visitors to spend time with frail residents
  • Exercise specialists to conduct group sessions, including Tai Chi and Yoga
  • “Red Hat Society” members who want to give teas for out “Red Hat” members (This is an organization for ladies over 55 who want to have fun by having teas and luncheons where they wear red hats. The gentlemen must wear fun ties! There is more but you have to be here to see it!)

Volunteers bring their enthusiasm for life into The Courtyard. Each resident’s life is enriched by interacting with new people who are not part of their regular routine. We can assure you that after volunteering you will feel differently in a very special way. Volunteers are welcome weekdays, evenings, and weekends. Join us and feel the joy that helping others can bring to your heart.

HealthCare Center

At the HealthCare Center, our volunteers are considered part of the family. We realize that volunteers make sacrifices of their own time to benefit others. If you would like to make a difference in our residents’ lives, then we have some enjoyable volunteer opportunities where we could use your assistance.

  • One-on-one visits with the residents
  • Arts and crafts
  • Table games and puzzles
  • Exercise groups
  • Musicians, singers, and dancers
  • Serving as a host or hostess at parties on campus

If you would like to assist with one of these activities, please contact Judy Bramlett at 972-686-3067 or jbramlett@cccinc.net
